THERI is an action based movies which was directed by ATLEE and produced by KALAIPULI THANU. The flim features VIJAY SAMANTHA and AMY JACKSON and music was composed by G.V.PRAKASH KUMAR.

THERI crossed 100crores in just 6days this is the biggest in all time kollywood box office record and THERI becomes the VIJAY‘s most successfull flim in his cinema history.

2. 24 – 101+crores

Verdict : Super Hit


24 is a 2016 Indian science fiction thriller film written and directed by Vikram Kumar. Based on the concept of time-travel, the film stars actor Suriya in triple roles, with actresses Samantha and Nithya Menen in lead roles.

3. Rajini Murugan – 50+crores

Rajini Murugan is a 2016 Indian Tamil comedy-drama film written and directed by Ponram, in his second venture afterVaruthapadatha Valibar Sangam (2013). The film has Sivakarthikeyan and Soori in the lead roles, while Keerthi Suresh , Rajkiranand Samuthirakani play supporting roles. The film, produced by Thirrupathi Brothers, features music composed by D. Imman and cinematography by Balasubramaniem.

4. Irudhi Suttru – 40+crores

Irudhi Suttru , is a 2016 Indian sportsdrama film written and directed by Sudha Kongara. Simultaneously shot in Tamil and Hindi, the film features R. Madhavan in the leading role as a boxing coach, with newcomer Ritika Singh as an aspiring boxer. Both versions are produced by S. Sashikanth for Y NOT Studios and UTV Motion Pictures, while C. V. Kumar’s Thirukumaran Entertainment co-produces the Tamil version and Madhavan’s Tricolour Films with Rajkumar Hirani present the Hindi version respectively.

5. Kathakali – 34+crores

Kathakali is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language action-thriller film directed by Pandiraj, starring Vishal and Catherine Tresa. Co-produced by both Pandiraj and Vishal, Kathakali released on 14 January 2016. The Telugu dubbed version with the same title was released on 18 March 2016.

Sethupathi is a 2016 Indian Tamil-language film written and directed by S. U. Arun Kumar. Produced by Shan Sutharsan under Vansan Movies, it features Vijay Sethupathi and Remya Nambeesan in the lead roles.The film released worldwide on 19 February 2016, it received positive reviews from critics and was a commercial success.

8. Miruthan – 15+crores

Miruthan is a 2016 Indian Tamil zombie thriller film written and directed by Shakti Soundar Rajan and starring Jayam Ravi andLakshmi Menon in the leading roles. The film, which became the first Indian Tamil film in the zombie genre, was released on 19 February 2016.

9. Pichaikkaran – 12+crores

Pichaikkaran  is a 2016 Indian Tamil action thriller film directed by Sasi, starring Vijay Antony in the lead role. The film released on 4 March 2016. The Telugu dubbed version was titled as Bichagadu and was released on 13 May 2016. Telugu version received positive reviews from both critical and audience.

10. Visaranai – 10 crores

Visaranai  is a 2015 Indian Tamil-language docudrama crime-thriller film written and directed by Vetrimaaranbased on the novel Lock Up by M. Chandrakumar. Featuring Dinesh, Anandhi and Aadukalam Murugadoss in the lead roles, the film deals with police brutality, corruption, and loss of innocence in the face of injustice.
